Programme
Environmental Justice & Youth Engagement
Bringing young people, and the communities carrying the heaviest environmental burden, into sustainability leadership from age 15 upward.
Programme status: In design
Sustainability solutions are strongest when they are designed by the people most affected. This pillar is where that value becomes practice - starting with young people, and with the neighbourhoods that carry an environmental burden they did not create.
What this programme does
- Sustainability education workshops in schools and community settings
- Intergenerational mentoring between established and emerging leaders
- Environmental justice advocacy in overburdened communities
- Neighbourhood cleanups and tree planting as entry points to sustained action
