Independent research that generates the evidence base for USAW's own programming and for the policy positions it advances.

In design

Evidence is one of USAW’s five core values, and this pillar is where the organization holds itself to it. Independent research grounds the programme design in Section 8, supplies the baselines the results framework depends on, and gives the advocacy work something firmer than assertion to stand on.

What this programme does

  • Baseline and landscape research in target communities
  • Evidence briefs on gender and environmental outcomes
  • Policy submissions and consultation responses
  • Documenting best practice in environmental advocacy and leadership

How we will measure it

USAW is pre-launch, so these indicators have no baseline yet. Baselines will be set during Phase 1 research and reported annually, disaggregated by sex and age.
